The position

Gelato is growing rapidly and is well capitalized. We are seeking a top-performing, analytically-driven, commercially-minded Pricing manager to join and help drive our Pricing and Monetization function. As part of the Strategic Finance team and working cross-functionality with category managers, head of the B2B and B2C business units, you will be responsible for setting prices and monitoring impact, identifying opportunities, crafting and implementing our strategy, across our entire range of products and services. Reporting to the VP Strategic Finance, you will be the key driving force in building Gelato’s pricing capability. This is a core strategic capability as we expand the range of services and loyalty programs across the entire ecosystem of our platform, including consumers, creators, production partners, as well as corporates.

What you'll be doing

You will influence and contribute to all aspects related to pricing and monetization, including vision, strategy, processes, systems, and reporting. You will be delivering critical analytical insights and identifying opportunities to drive revenue and profit margin growth through pricing.

You will help Gelato make strategic decisions on Pricing and utilizing tools and data to support high-quality decision making and drive growth. You will work on a variety of projects to achieve this goal, which could include:

• Support all facets (strategy, processes, systems, reporting) surrounding the pricing and monetization of our products and services across our two brands.

• Drive the pricing process from start to finish, maximizing price and margin opportunities. Develop and manage KPI’s to measure effectiveness and outcomes of pricing actions. Partner with executive level sales, merchandising, operations and finance leadership to deliver financial outcomes and operational objectives.

• Forecast product and service profitability based on pricing and marketing strategies and competitive dynamics.

• Work across the organization to provide analytical pricing structures.

• Build pricing expertise and develop tools and systems to enhance our execution of our pricing strategies.

Moreover, we would like to see evidence of the following in your profile:

• 5+ years of work experience in a similar environment, with relevant demonstrated experience in pricing, performance marketing, customer management, progressive finance, or management consulting at a leading firm;

• A degree in business, statistics, or engineering; MBA from a leading institution is a plus;

• Extraordinary analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor;

• Advanced skills in financial modelling (advanced Excel skills), CEO/Board-level presentation skills (advanced PowerPoint skills);

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

• Excellent project management and organization skills;

• Fluent in English
